Faith in Action Scholarship
The Sonia’s Faith in Action Scholarship was established to honor the life and legacy of Sonia Lindsay, a woman of unwavering faith, compassion, and service.
Sonia dedicated herself to caring for children, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness—offering meals, love, and prayer to those in need. Her home and heart were always open, and her acts of kindness left a lasting mark on everyone she touched.
The Faith in Action scholarships continues her legacy by recognizing Maryland students who demonstrate a deep commitment to serving children and the homeless community, embodying the spirit of faith in action through compassion, leadership, and service.

Each year, we will award three scholarships to Maryland students who are making a difference in their community.
